You must be a Berkeley student to apply.
2. Auditions are held April 15th and 16th.
Bring the application fee and your student ID to auditions.
You can sing any song during the audition, but there will be no background/KTV music included.
After you turn in your application, we will contact you with the date and location of the audition. If you are unable to make it to the audition, accommodations can be made.
3. During the karaoke contest, there will be two rounds. The 12 people chosen form the auditions will sing their first song. The judges will decide the final five who move on to round 2. During the second, and final, round, they will sing their second song.
The two songs are pre-chosen on the application, and cannot be changed after the application deadline.
If more than one person applies to sing the same song, the first applicant gets priority, and we'll notify the other applicant as soon as we can to choose another song..
4. You can choose any song to perform, as long as :
There is no offensive language.
The song is no more than 5 minutes long
5. You can signup individually or with another person. However, if you sign up with someone else, both your first and second song must be duets.
6. Participant order will be decided on the day of the event and will be decided randomly.
